Urban lights

The townscape forming and social shaping capabilites of public lighting is unexploited in downtown Budapest.
We imagined the lamp’s body in a shape that gives shelter day and night, in case of rain or extreme sunlight – in one, that can form social junctions in the urban environment. Interactive surfaces attached to consoles on the lamp improve the urban experience with multiple playful functions – and in case of emergency, they can be used to signal for help.
